Orchids are a beautiful addition to any indoor garden. They come in a variety of colors and shapes, making them a great way to add a touch of elegance to any space. But caring for these specimens may be tricky. Here are some tips to help you keep your beloved plants healthy and thriving.

Light

These beautiful plants need bright, indirect light to thrive. Place your plant near a window that gets plenty of sunlight, but make sure the sun isn’t directly hitting the leaves. You can also use a grow light if necessary.

Water

Water lovers, but don’t overdo it. Once a week is our baseline recommendation and make sure the soil is moist but not soggy. You can also mist your plant with water to help keep them hydrated.

Fertilizer

Orchids need fertilizer to help them grow. Use a balanced fertilizer with equal parts nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Fertilize your orchids every two weeks during the growing season and every month during the dormant season.

Temperature

Orchids prefer temperatures between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure your orchids aren’t in direct sunlight or near any heat sources, as this can damage the leaves.

Pruning

Prune your plants to encourage new growth and keep them looking their best. Remove any dead or damaged leaves and stems, and cut back any stems that have become too long.

Caring for these plants can be a rewarding experience. With the right care, your orchids will thrive and bring beauty and elegance to your indoor garden.
